TEASER
About
Rodwin tells the true story of getting hired to write a musical about the history of Miami. To be staged on a boat. Owned by a Russian oligarch. Produced by a guy who sold timeshares. What could go wrong?
Hold tight as Rodwin takes his boss’ horrifying humor and spins it into gold. Who will win the death match between Californian culture and Floridian worldview? No one on a boat.
Rodwin shares his love affair with the history of Miami, despite its rabidly anti-Semitic founding fathers. (very funny stuff!) He even discovers his great-grandfather may have been one of the 'Binder Boys' who fomented the 1920s Florida land rush.
Rodwin’s last show, F*ck Tinder: a love story, won Best Solo Performance at the 2018 Capital Fringe Festival during a completely sold-out run.

Bio
David Rodwin, has been telling stories on screen and on stage for 30 years. His last show F*ck Tinder: a love story toured 10 cities, selling out over 90 shows from New York to Vancouver.
No slouch in the world of music theatre, Rodwin is actually a Jonathan Larson Award winner (JL wrote RENT) who also wrote & composed 7 evening-length musicals and opera presented and developed at Disney, LaMaMa, HERE, Mabou Mines, Dixon Place, The Public Theatre, American Opera Projects, and many more.
And no, the eye patch isn't a costume. David's got Thyroid Eye Disease, the same affliction that gave the comedic actor Marty Feldman his eye popping look (remember Igor from Young Frankenstein?) David can only hope it makes him as funny as Mr. Feldman, but the disease is no joke.
